I've always had a passion for the English language and began my career as a journalist. My studies also included courses in sociology, social work, and early childhood. I quickly realized that I thoroughly enjoyed working with children, especially during their formative years as they developed language skills. This began my new direction of combining my interest in language with working with children, particularly in the areas of reading and writing. Once my own child was diagnosed with dyslexia, I started researching effective methods to enable her to have academic success.
